Campaign Story

Ever since Maria was born, she has been suffering from brain paralysis, mental impairment and dystonic episodes, which greatly affect her everyday life. For the past fourteen years, our beloved Maria has been struggling with immense courage and strength, while her mother is taking care of her 24 hours a day. However, during the last few months the dystonic episodes have become more frequent and last even longer, while at the same time, the expenses that are required so that she can have a better quality of life, have increased dramatically. According to the doctors who monitor her condition, the young girl must be immediately subjected to home-based treatments, while she must also follow a prescribed diet. Furthermore, she requires a variety of medical expendable supplies, as well as an adjustable standing frame, which will facilitate her everyday life, since she has been confined to a wheelchair.

Her mother has never left her side, however she is now in a dead-end and she needs our support in order to afford her daughter’s expenses. The courage and strength that these two have been demonstrating all of these years, constitutes a bright example for all of us. Today, Maria is struggling and she needs us by her side!
