Stratos Zafirellis from the island of Mytilene, fought hard in order to support his wife, Evanthia Karamitrou, throughout her recovery, since she is being hospitalized in a rehabilitation center, far away from her family, for over a year now. However, fate brought them to the same rehabilitation center, just one year apart! Today, they are struggling together, while their 4-year-old daughter is missing both of her parents!

Campaign Story

Stratos was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident. On 8/05/22, he was finally extubated, after being hospitalized for several days in the ICU. The good news is that even thought he was in a critical condition, the doctors managed to save his life. He isn’t exhibiting any signs of brain damage, while his cognitive functions haven’t been compromised. However, he is unable to walk and in spite of being subjected to surgery, his lower extremities are still paralyzed.  In order to regain his motor skills, it’s imperative that he remains hospitalized in the rehabilitation center where he was admitted, until his treatment plan is completed. However, the cost for his hospitalization is unbearable and the only way to settle his medical bills is to stick together!  Let us all support Stratos so that he makes a full recovery and gets backs on his feet! His quadriplegic wife and his kid need him! Let us help this family during the uphill struggle they are facing!
