In 21st April of 2022, 19-year-old Irini was admitted to the hospital since she had been experiencing for some time, frequent and intense headaches, signs of instability and fainting fits. The tests revealed that these symptoms were caused by a growing brain tumor therefore she was immediately subjected to a surgical operation in order to remove it. However, she still has a long way to go, since she must soon undergo another surgery in order to remove the hematoma.

Campaign Story

In 21st April of 2022, 19-year-old Irini was admitted to the hospital since she had been experiencing for some time, frequent and intense headaches, signs of instability and fainting fits. The tests revealed that these symptoms were caused by a growing brain tumor therefore she was immediately subjected to a surgical operation in order to remove it. However, the surgery was unable to treat the young girl’s symptoms. After further imaging, the doctors discovered an intracranial hematoma. Following the parents’ request, the 19-year-old-girl was then transferred to a private clinic and on May 14th she underwent another surgery that was 100% successful, since the surgeons managed to remove the entire tumor. Currently, Irini is recovering from surgery. 

However, she still has a long way to go, since she must soon undergo another surgery in order to remove the hematoma. Unfortunately, the family has already spent all of their savings for their daughter’s surgery; therefore our immediate contribution is of the essence.  

The total cost for the young girl’s additional surgery and post-op hospitalization amounts to 22,230 euros. We must simply not allow this financial aspect, stand in the way of this girl’s future!

    Mission accomplished! We have managed to settle the medical bills for Irini’s surgical procedures!

    <p>19-year-old Irini’s life was turned upside down, since she was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. After complications during her first surgery, she was immediately transferred to a private clinic in Thessaloniki, where she underwent another surgery in order to remove the residual tumor. Thanks to your immediate response, we have managed to gather the amount required for Irini’s surgery, as well as for any additional treatments that she might need. In August, she will be subjected to further tests, as well as an MRI that will determine the right course of treatments.<br />
