Campaign Story

Maria is a 44-year-old woman, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. This, however, isn’t the first time she had to face this disease.

When Maria was just 29-years-old, she was diagnosed with papillary carcinoma of the thyroid gland. However, the biopsy that was performed after the thyroidectomy, revealed that this was in fact a case of medullary carcinoma, which is far more aggressive. As a result, Maria had to get back in surgery, in order to be subjected to a lymphadenectomy.

Ever since the surgery, Maria was frequently subjected to imaging tests and blood work. And while she thought that her ordeal was all in the past, Maria was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.

According to the doctor who is treating her, Maria had to be IMMEDIATELY subjected to a surgical resection of the tumor, which was recently performed in a private clinic, since the public hospitals have a long waiting list and any delay could be fatal. Unfortunately, Maria doesn’t have the means to settle her medical bills, since her monthly income is insufficient, while she is currently struggling to cover her and her son’s daily living expenses. We will stand by this mother’s side and do our best in order to take some weight off her shoulders.

Maria is going through tough times and she needs us more than ever. Let us all join forces and offer this young mother the chance to fight and beat cancer!

New update on the state of health of Maria, the 43-year-old mother who recently underwent surgical removal of a tumor!

Maria has been battling cancer since she was 29 years old and has already undergone 2 surgeries. For the last 2 years, Maria has been monitored by a gynecologist surgeon, as she has developed multiple breast formations. However, recently a new lump was detected in the right breast, and due to suspicious morphology, her doctor recommended its immediate removal. A few days ago, the results of the biopsy came out, since after the surgical removal of the lump, a sample was taken for histological analysis. We are pleased to inform you that no cancer cells were finally detected. After the results of the biopsy, Maria feels great joy and relief. Of course, according to the doctor who monitors her, she should continue to undergo tests at regular intervals for precautionary reasons.
Our struggle for the young mother continues, since she cannot afford to pay her medical expenses, while her monthly income is barely sufficient for her and her child’s daily needs.
Maria has been through a lot. But today, she needs us by her side. We are all going together to support the struggle of this true fighter and offer her the opportunity to get back on her feet and raise her child with dignity.
