According to the doctors who monitor her condition, it’s imperative that she is subjected to a series of innovative surgical procedures, in order to reconstruct the bones of her face and skull. However, her family doesn’t have the means to raise the funds required for the unbearable cost of her surgery and hospitalization.

Campaign Story

Maria came into this world 22 months ago, along with twin sister. However, no one could have imagined what fate had in store for her. The baby was born with severe craniofacial abnormalities, since her skull wasn’t properly developed during pregnancy, while there is a huge gap on the frontal bone. As a result, there is accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid in the area, which could affect the overall development of the brain and cause severe epileptic seizures. Due to the dysplasia, Maria is unable to chew her food, while one of her eyes hasn’t been fully developed.  

According to the doctors who monitor her condition, Maria needs to be subjected to a series of innovative surgical procedures, in order to reconstruct the bones of her face and skull, in order to achieve proper development and function of the brain.  

The surgery has been already scheduled in a private clinic and according to the doctors it needs to be performed as soon as possible. However, her family doesn’t have the means to raise the funds required for the unbearable cost of her surgery and hospitalization.
