Dionisia is a 65-year-old woman who is facing severe health problems. It all started around 10 years ago, when she got diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune disease that can cause severe health complications. After this diagnosis, Dionisia started to experience a challenging routine, filled with doctors’ appointments, follow-up tests, medication, as well as a variety of painful symptoms.  

However, fate had in store for her another unpleasant surprise. About one and a half year ago, Dionisia started to experience persistent back pain and after a series of diagnostic tests, she received the fatal diagnosis. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: an aggressive type of cancer which attacks the cells of the lymphatic system. Even though Dionisia was immediately subjected to immunochemotherapy, her latest tests were very discouraging, since the lymphoma has now spread to other vital organs. 

Dionisia will soon be subjected to a new chemo round, however the constant trips to and from the hospital in Athens via patient transport vehicle, as well as her ever-increasing medical and medicinal needs, add up to an unbearable cost that she is unable to cover, since due to her health condition, Dionisia is struggling to make ends meet.  

Dionisia has been struggling on her own for years. Today however, her life is in danger and she needs us by her side. Let us all join forces and facilitate this woman’s struggle with just one small gesture!
