Campaign Story

Gavriil is just 2 years old and he was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, an aggressive form of leukemia that affects mostly children. It all started a few months ago, when Gabriil presented with persistent cough that wouldn’t subside. His mother then brought him to the local hospital, where he was subjected to a full blood panel. However, the results were alarming, so the doctors recommended his transfer to a public hospital of Thessaloniki, where after a series of specialized tests, he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.  

During the past month, the little guy is being hospitalized in the children’s oncology ward of that hospital, while he is already being subjected to the first chemo round. According to the doctors who monitor his condition, his treatments will last for a long period of time.  

His mother hasn’t left his side for a minute, while she had to temporarily quit her job and leave her husband behind, who is unable to work due to high disability rating. Due to these circumstances, Gavriil’s parents have come to a dead end, since they are now unable to cope with their monthly expenses or the cost of the expendables that are daily required for their son’s care.  

Baby boy Gabriil is fighting the biggest battle of his life, while his family is experiencing every parent’s worst nightmare. Together, we can facilitate their struggle with one small gesture!
