It’s imperative that we support this family, so that they can cover their expenses, not only during their stay in Palermo, but also during Georgia’s post-op recovery in Greece, since she will require medicinal and medical expendable supplies, while she must also follow a strict nutritional regimen.

Georgia needs our immediate support, since she was recently subjected to a transplant in Italy!
9-year-old Georgia is fighting for her life, since she was recently subjected to a liver transplant, due to liver cirrhosis. When she was just an infant, she was diagnosed with liver failure, therefore she was recently hospitalized in a public hospital of Athens. However, during the last year, her condition deteriorated to the point where it was life-threatening, therefore, her only hope was to be admitted to the ISMMET transplant center of Palermo.
The liver transplant was successful, while the little girl is responding well to the treatments. The family will remain to Palermo until the attending doctors assess that she is ready to return to Greece. However, her struggle doesn’t end here, since she must fly out to Palermo every 4-6 months, in order to be subjected to follow-up tests.
