Iosif is a three-year-old boy who has been experiencing severe health problems, due to a chromosomal abnormality. When the little guy came into this world, he was immediately transferred to the NICU, since he was presenting with a severe case of chest and spinal deformity. After being subjected to a series of tests, he was diagnosed with a deletion syndrome.

To this day, little Iosif hasn’t been able to speak or walk, while he has been diagnosed with mental impairment, neurodevelopmental delay, hypotonia and hypothyroidism. Following the pediatrician’s recommendations, the little guy is being subjected to a home-based physiotherapy and occupational therapy program. According to the physiotherapist who is treating him, little Iosif requires a custom, pediatric, standing frame, which will support his core and gradually improve his posture. Iosif also requires a wheelchair, which will allow his mother to transfer him safely in and out of the house.

Iosif’s mother has never left his side, while she is the sole care-giver of him and his newborn sibling. After all these years of caring for her son, the mother has reached a dead-end, therefore she cannot afford the purchase of the wheelchair and the standing frame her son requires.

Little Iosif has been facing an uphill struggle ever since he came into this world. However, he is not giving up. He wants to fight and claim a better life. He is not alone in this. We are by his side and we’ll do everything in our power, in order to facilitate this young fighter’s struggle!
