Magdalinos is a 25-year-old man, who for the past 10 years, has been suffering from quadriplegia and complete aphasia, due to severe craniocerebral injuries. All these years, he is being subjected to a home-based treatment plan, which includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. His mother needs to install a vertical chair lift, which will allow her to transfer him to the hospital faster and safer when necessary.

We are staggered by Magdalinos’ struggle, who has been confined to a wheelchair for the past 10 years! Now has come the time to stand by his side!

Campaign Story

Magdalinos is a 25-year-old man, who for the past 10 years, has been suffering from quadriplegia, due to severe craniocerebral injuries. When Magdalinos was just 15 years old, he got hit by a passing vehicle while walking. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, while being unconscious. His condition was critical, since he had to spend 2 months in the ICU, while he was also subjected to a brain surgery.

Today, Magdalinos is being subjected to a home-based treatment plan, which includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy, while he still has the gastrostomy. He cannot move his extremities, while he has been diagnosed with complete aphasia.

Ever since the accident, his mother has never left his side, doing everything in her power in order to provide her child with everything he needs. However, after all these years, his mother has come to a dead end and is unable to cope with her son’s ever-increasing, health-related expenses. Furthermore, Magdalinos’ mother needs to install a vertical chair lift, which will allow her to transfer him to the hospital faster and safer when necessary. Unfortunately, this purchase is not covered by their health insurance.

Magdalinos’ life turned upside down from one minute to the next, due to a reckless driver. Today however, he needs our help. Let us all support this true fighter’s struggle! Any contribution can make a great difference!
