Nikos has been diagnosed with pervasive developmental disorder, severe intellectual disability and drug-resistant epilepsy. Since the last few years the epileptic crises he has been experiencing, have increased in intensity and frequency, Nikos will be admitted within this month in the neurological ward of a private clinic in Thessaloniki, where he will be subjected to further diagnostic tests, so that the doctors will be able to come up with the right treatment for his condition.
Together, we stand by Nikos, the 18-year-old young man who has been suffering from epileptic crisis!

Nikos has been experiencing an uphill struggle since the very first months of his life. When he was just six months old, he was diagnosed with drug-resistant epilepsy, a severe condition that doesn’t respond to any medication. However, as years went by, his parents were ever more concerned, since their son wasn’t able to speak, while he was exhibiting an aggressive behavior. After a series of doctors’ appointments to child psychologists and developmental doctors, he was diagnosed with pervasive developmental disorder and severe intellectual disability.
The last few years, the epileptic crises have increased in intensity and frequency, and following doctors’ recommendations, Nikos will be admitted within this month in the neurological ward of a private clinic in Thessaloniki, where he will be subjected to further diagnostic tests, so that the doctors will be able to come up with the right treatment for his condition. His family is now in a dead end, since they are unable to cope with the cost of their child’s hospitalization, as well as the cost of their lodging expenses during their stay in Thessaloniki.
Nikos has been fighting for the past 18 years. Let us all support this real fighter’s struggle and offer him a second chance in life!
