Paraskevi is a 28-year-old woman, who is suffering from spastic quadriplegia and mental impairment.  Ever since she was 9 years old, she has been fed via a gastrostomy, while she spends most of the day sitting in her wheelchair, in order to prevent any food aspiration. About one and a half years ago, Paraskevi’s mother reached out to ACT OF KINDNESS, since her daughter’s wheelchair was severely damaged and had to be immediately replaced. Thanks to your defining support, we managed in a short period of time, to procure a new wheelchair that met Paraskevi’s needs! Today, however, Paraskevi’s mother needs our help one more time, since she has to procure a wheelchair accessible vehicle, which will allow her to drive her daughter to her medical appointments safely and effortlessly.

Campaign Story

Paraskevi is a 28-year-old woman, who has been struggling ever since she came into this world, due to severe complications at birth. She was diagnosed with spastic quadriplegia and mental impairment early on, while she had to undergo an abdominal surgery, since she had also been diagnosed with a severe form of gastro-esophageal reflux disease and esophagitis. Ever since the surgery, Paraskevi is fed via a gastrostomy, while she spends most of the day sitting in her wheelchair, in order to prevent any food aspiration.

About one and a half years ago, Paraskevi’s mother reached out to ACT OF KINDNESS, since her daughter’s wheelchair was severely damaged and had to be immediately replaced. Thanks to your defining support, we managed, in just a short period of time, to procure a new wheelchair that met Paraskevi’s needs! Today, however, Paraskevi’s mother needs our help one more time, since she has to procure a wheelchair accessible vehicle, which will allow her to drive her daughter to her medical appointments safely and effortlessly. 

All these years, Paraskevi’s mother is doing everything in her power, in order to offer a better quality of life to her daughter. We have the power to help her.  To stand by this family, who has been facing an uphill struggle. Together, we can make it happen!
