Sideridis Giannis is being hospitalized in the General Hospital of Giannitsa, after exhibiting signs of acute respiratory failure. Due to his long-term hospitalization, he is also suffering from myopathy and numerous nosocomial infections. Since he is in a critical condition, the attending doctors strongly recommend that he were transferred to a rehabilitation center.

Giannis is fighting with all of his powers to stay alive! He needs us by his side so that he can breathe again on his own!

Campaign Story

Sideridis Giannis is being hospitalized in the General Hospital of Giannitsa, after exhibiting signs of acute respiratory failure. He was immediately rushed to the ICU, where he was subjected to an emergency tracheotomy. Home-based care is not an option, since he wears a tracheostomy and is hooked up to a ventilator. As a result, he requires constant monitoring and medical care provided by professionals. Due to his long-term hospitalization, he is also suffering from myopathy and numerous nosocomial infections. 

Since he is in a critical condition, the attending doctors strongly recommend that he were transferred to a rehabilitation center, where he will receive the 24hour care he needs, while he will also be subjected to an individualized treatment plan, so that he can regain his strength and breathe without the tracheostomy tube. Part of the hospitalization cost will be covered by his public health insurance; however, Giannis needs our support in order to pay the remaining cost, which amounts to 12,000 euros.
