Campaign Story

Sofia is 45 years old and she has been experiencing health problems since childhood. When she was 21 years old, and after being subjected to a series of diagnostic tests, she was diagnosed with Crohn disease and was subjected to surgery. Afterwards, she was prescribed with strong medication that severely affected her liver and by extension other vital organs. As years went by, her condition started to deteriorate, and after further tests, she was diagnosed with toxic-metabolic encephalopathy, a disease which is linked to disorders of the gastrointestinal system and to chronic liver poisoning. Chronic candidiasis is a severe, complex disease that causes a variety of symptoms to the entire body. Sofia is suffering from food intake disorder that has led to a metabolic syndrome which if not treated immediately, could be fatal. According to the doctors who are treating her, Sofia needs to be immediately subjected to a long-term, complex treatment that consists of specialty medication, dietary supplements and a strict dietary regimen that aims at improving the function of the gut-brain axis and the central nervous system, as well as repairing the liver and the digestive system.  

If she is immediately subjected to treatments, her brain function will be gradually restored. However, she is unable to cope with the treatments costs, since due to the severity of her condition, she hasn’t been working for the past 6 years.  

Sofia has been struggling for years in silence. Today however, she needs our help in order to win this battle! If we all join forces, we will be able to offer her a chance to get back on her feet and live a normal life!

    <p>Sofia is opening her heart, describing the painful health ordeal she has been experiencing for so many years, since she has been diagnosed with leaky gut syndrome, chronic candidiasis and toxic-hepatic-metabolic encephalopathy. The 45-year-old woman is suffering from food intake disorder, which has greatly affected her metabolic and brain functions.<br />
    After years of struggling, trying to find the proper treatments for her condition, the doctors who are treating her have come to the conclusion that Sofia needs to be immediately subjected to a complex, long-term treatment plan. However, Sofia is unable to cope with the treatments costs, since due to the severity of her condition she hasn’t been able to work in years.<br />

    We keep on fighting for Sofia!

    <p>45-year-old Sofia is suffering from leaky gut syndrome, chronic candidiasis and toxic-hepatic-metabolic encephalopathy. The past few years have been really challenging for her, since she has also been suffering from food intake disorder, which has greatly affected her metabolic and brain function. A few months ago, the doctors who monitor her condition strongly recommended that she were subjected to a long-term, complex treatment, suitable for her medical condition.<br />
    Sofia was recently subjected to a comprehensive metabolic panel, while she is being subjected at the same time to an intensive treatment plan. So far, the medication seems to be working. Her metabolic functions have improved, while her hormone levels are finally balanced, which has a positive impact to her overall health! It’s evident that this particular treatment has been very effective for Sofia, while the doctors strongly recommend that she keeps on taking the prescribed medication.<br />
    Thanks to your defining support, we have managed to settle a great part of the cost of her medication. However, we are far from over, since Sofia still has a long way to go until her gastrointestinal and metabolic system fully recovers.<br />
    Together, we have managed to improve Sofia’s quality of life, giving her the strength to carry on. Let us all do our best and reach our funding goal, in order to give Sofia the chance to complete her treatments!</p>

And it is beautiful to see life through the eyes of our Wisdom.</p>

    We band together for Sofia, who needs to complete her treatment plan!

After struggling for years, while trying at the same time to find the proper cure, the doctors who monitor Sofia’s condition, have reached to the conclusion that her only option was to be subjected to this long-term, complex treatment. However, Sofia is unable to afford the unbearable cost of the treatments, since due to her health condition, she has been unable to work. Sofia has been struggling for years in silence.     Sofia began to hope!

    <p>She believed that her life was coming to an end. She had come to weigh 35 pounds from the many health problems that plagued her. Until he addressed our Organization! And as he says, in this dark tunnel he saw light… A plethora of health problems, eating disorders, decades of struggle with medications that burdened her body and in the end, there is an urgent need for many years of complex treatment that includes medication, special diet and nutritional supplements at a huge total cost!… All this is now necessary for Sofia to be able to live. Her dream is to be able to reach normality. A normal life and nothing more. No fear for tomorrow. And that’s when we started Sophia’s campaign. And just like that, with your contribution, Sofia started the much-needed treatment. It is in the beginning but its improvement is evident. Basic and non-negotiable instruction from doctors not to stop her treatment for even one week. Never miss any medicine. And a lot of it comes from abroad. The Act of Love is on Sophia’s side who asks with dignity not to stop her healing, her struggle! Let’s keep going! Keep going! So that our Wisdom can live again!</p>
