The story of Michail-Pantelis

Michail-Pantelis Karidis is a young man from Rhodes who urgently needs our help. On June 9 th of 2020, he was involved in a car accident that changed his life forever. After sustaining massive craniocerebral injuries he was rushed to the ICU of the University General Hospital of Heraklion, where he remained hospitalized for 8 months in a vegetative state. He was then diagnosed with spastic quadriplegia and since then he remains confined to a bed. The attending doctors recommended that he were transferred to a specialized rehabilitation clinic, in order to regain his movement and communication skills. The young man’s medical records have been thoroughly evaluated by the organization’s pediatrician, Mrs. Noula Paraskevi. Following the doctors’ orders, the young man was admitted to a specialized rehabilitation clinic in Larissa, in order to receive the proper treatments. His family keeps on fighting so that Michail-Pantelis can receive the necessary treatments and make a full recovery. However, the monthly cost amounts to 2,000 euros, a sum that his family cannot afford without our help. Let us all support Michail-Pantelis throughout this ordeal!! Let us all help this young man get back on his feet!

We are deeply saddened to say goodbye to our beloved friend Michail-Pantelis. A brave young man, who for the 1,5 year had been fighting this uneven battle to stay alive, after sustaining severe craniocerebral injuries resulting from a car accident.  According to the attending doctors of the rehabilitation clinic in Larissa, where he has been hospitalized for the past few months, the young fighter passed away last night after suffering a cardiac arrest. 

We would like to express our sincere condolences to his family for their terrible loss, and we pledge to support them for anything they might need.
