Campaign Story

Maria-Kassiani was diagnosed with a severe congenital heart defect, just a few weeks before she came into this world. The little girl is struggling daily, since she has spent most of her life inside the hospital, while so far she has been subjected to 2 surgical procedures. According to the pediatric cardiologist who monitors her condition, the little girl will soon need to be admitted to a clinic abroad, in order to be subjected to her third heart surgery, which consists of the anatomical repair of the heart defect. 

Little Maria-Kassiani’s parents have come to a dead end, since they are unable to cope with the immense cost of their daughter’s surgery, as well as the cost of their transportation and lodging abroad. Not knowing where else to turn, they reached out to ACT OF KINDNESS, and after a thorough inquiry conducted by our interdisciplinary staff, we organized this aid campaign, which will allow this little angel to embark on this life-saving journey!

Little Maria-Kassiani has been struggling ever since she came into this world. She is only 10 months old and the only thing she has seen so far are surgeries, hospitalization, and medication. If she is not soon subjected to her third heart surgery, her life will be in danger. We cannot allow this to happen. We will do our best in order to make sure that this little fighter has her surgery! We all join forces for little Maria-Kassiani!
