A few months ago, Stella suffered a brain hemorrhage, while being 4 months pregnant. The young woman was admitted to the ICU in a comatose state, while as soon as her condition was stabilized, she was transferred to the maternity ward, where she gave birth to her little angel via scheduled C-section. Her diagnostic tests revealed the presence of an arteriovenous malformation, which is an abnormality of the intracranial vessels. According to the specialized neurosurgeon who monitors her condition, Stella needs to be soon subjected to an embolization procedure, which will prevent a new hemorrhagic event.

Campaign Story

A few months ago, Stella was over the moon, as she was about to give birth to her little angel. Soon however, the family’s joy turned into sorrow, when the young woman suffered a brain hemorrhage, while being 4 months pregnant. Stella was admitted to the ICU in a comatose state, while as soon as her condition was stabilized, she was transferred to the maternity ward, where she gave birth to her little angel via scheduled C-section. 

Her diagnostic tests revealed the presence of an arteriovenous malformation, which is an abnormality of the intracranial vessels. According to the specialized neurosurgeon who monitors her condition, Stella needs to be soon subjected to an embolization procedure, which will prevent a new hemorrhagic event.

Stella and her husband have found themselves in a dead end, since they are unable to cope with the cost of the young mother’s hospitalization and surgery, which will be performed in a private clinic of Thessaloniki. As soon as the young couple reached out to ACT OF KINDNESS, the Organization took all necessary action, in order to support the family of seven, who have been struggling, both financially and emotionally. 

Stella needs to be urgently admitted to the clinic, in order to undergo this surgical procedure. If this procedure is not performed soon, her life will be in danger. We cannot allow this to happen. We will do everything in our power, in order to help out this young mother, who has been facing the greatest challenge of her life. We join forces for Stella!
