Anna is a 13-year-old girl, who is suffering from epileptic crisis and severe psychokinetic delay, resulting from hydrocephalus and from severe craniocerebral injuries she had suffered during infancy. All of these years, Anna is confined to a bed. Her vision is impaired, she wears a tracheostomy and a gastrostomy, while she is being regularly subjected to home-based physiotherapy sessions, in order to alleviate the pain from the joint and muscle stiffness.

Campaign Story

Anna is a 13-year-old girl, who has seen life’s cruelty ever since she came into this world. When she was just 10 days old, she suffered severe craniocerebral injuries and she needed to be hospitalized for a long period of time. During her stay in the hospital, she was also diagnosed with hydrocephalus, which has caused severe damage to the brain.

Till this day, Anna has been suffering from epileptic crisis, while she has been also diagnosed with severe psychokinetic delay. All these years, the little girl is confined to a bed. Her vision is impaired, she wears a tracheostomy and a gastrostomy, while she is being regularly subjected to home-based physiotherapy sessions, in order to alleviate the pain from the joint and muscle stiffness.

Anna’s mother has never left her side, taking care of her 24 hours a day and trying her best in order to provide her child with everything she needs. However, after all these years, her mother has come to a dead-end, since she had no other choice but to quit her job, in order to take care of her, while she cannot longer cope with her daughter’s ever-increasing, health-related expenses.

Little Anna is facing an uphill struggle and she needs us by her side. We cannot turn our backs on her. Let us all join forces and facilitate this little girl’s struggle, with one small gesture! Together, we can make it happen!
