The stuff members and volunteers constitute a very important asset for the Organization’s development. This is why, the HR department emphasizes on the selection of the people who work with us, as well as on their training, evaluation and development.  

The Organization makes sure that the human resources operate according to the Values and Principles of the “Humanitarian Code of Conduct”, so that all actions are abided by the respective behavioral principles.  More specifically, the Code refers to a series of concepts, such as legality, transparency, respect for the environment and solidarity.

Our volunteers constitute an inextricable part of our activity, since they are the ones who daily contribute to the seamless and proper function of the Organization, under the supervision and support of our professional stuff. They participate in various events and initiatives of the Organization, as well as in the process of storage of all donated goods that takes place in our distribution center. They ensure the safety and hygiene standards of the facility, while they often assume the distribution of the donated goods to families all over Greece. Furthermore, we cooperate with a group of specialized experts, such as doctors and psychologists, who provide their services in order to ensure the successful outcome of our counseling and treatment programs, which are addressed to children and adults who are experiencing financial difficulties and health problems. 

The volunteers of the “Act of Kindness” organization belong to various age groups and they are all adults.  They are active members of the community, driven by a sense of solidarity and social justice. Their actions are essential for the function of the Organization and they set an example for all of us.
