We are anxiously waiting to hear some good news regarding the health condition of 35-year-old Anastasios Gavezos, the young man from the village of Gerakarou in Thessaloniki, who is still confined to a wheelchair after suffering a major car accident. Right after the accident, Anastasios was in a terrible shape, since he was unresponsive for quite some time. However, his condition has gradually shown great improvement. After struggling for so many months, his persistence has finally paid off. Thanks to the rehabilitation center where he is being hospitalized, he is now able to sit, speak and eat. He is fully aware of his surroundings, while he has regained total mobility of his hands.
Thanks to your immediate response, we have managed to settle the cost of his hospitalization for the last 6 months. However, Anastasios is still unable to walk. Although he is trying his best and his condition is gradually improving, his musculoskeletal system is still weak. As a result, he cannot walk or stand on his own. It’s imperative that he proceeds with his treatment plan for a few more months, so that his struggle won’t go to waste. His public health insurance has stated that after July, they will not cover any of the costs for his additional stay at the rehabilitation center.
If we all join forces, Anastasios will have a chance to complete his treatment plan and get back on his feet. Let us all support him in every way that we possibly can! Even sharing this post could be helpful!
