When Chrisovalantis-Ioannis was just 8 months old, he was diagnosed with herpes encephalitis that was caused by contracting a herpes virus. Today, 5-year-old Chrisovalantis-Ioannis is receiving anti-epileptic medication, while he is also presenting with severe developmental disorders. He is still unable to speak, while he is exhibiting mental impairment, disruptive behavior and ADHD. He currently attends a special needs school, while he is also being subjected to speech therapy and occupational therapy sessions.

When Chrisovalantis-Ioannis was just 8 months old, he developed high fever that wouldn’t subside. His mother rushed him to the hospital and after a series of tests he was diagnosed with herpes encephalitis that was caused by contracting a herpes virus. The little guy’s condition was critical, since he had to be intubated and spend 3 days in the PICU, while he also presented with epileptic seizures.

Today, Chrisovalantis-Ioannis is receiving anti-epileptic medication, while he is also presenting with severe developmental disorders. He is still unable to speak, while he is exhibiting mental impairment, disruptive behavior and ADHD. He currently attends a special needs school, while he is also being subjected to speech therapy and occupational therapy sessions.

All of these years, his mother has never left his side, doing her best in order to provide a better quality of life for her child. However, during the past few years she has been experiencing financial difficulties, and since she has been unable to settle her debt towards her health insurance provider, she now has to cover the unbearable cost of her son’s treatments and medication on her own.

Little Chrisovalantis-Ioannis has been experiencing a challenging life, due to a virus infection that deprived him of a chance to live a normal life. Today, he needs us by his side, in order to proceed with his treatments. Together, we can facilitate his struggle, with one small gesture!
