Claudio is 24 years old and he suffers from quadriplegia. His life turned into a nightmare within just one second, since last summer, after diving into swallow water, he sustained irreversible damage to his cervical spine and his spinal cord. Ever since the accident, Claudio has been facing an uphill struggle. He has been subjected to a tracheostomy, he is being fed through a nasogastric tube, while he is paralyzed from the neck down.  

His condition was considered critical and Claudio spent a long time in the ICU, where the doctors had to resuscitate him after a series of asystole episodes. When he finally got discharged, he was transferred to a rehabilitation center in the city of Larissa, where he is being hospitalized till this day, while being subjected to an intensive physiotherapy and speech therapy program.  

According to the doctors who monitor his condition, it’s imperative that he proceeds with his treatments. Unfortunately, his health insurance only covers a part of the cost of his hospitalization. So far, his family was punctual when it comes to the payments towards the rehabilitation center. However, after all these months their funds have been exhausted and they can no longer cover the monthly cost of his hospitalization. Claudio is facing an uphill battle and he needs us by his side.
