Campaign Story

Crisovalanto- Vasiliki  is a 19-year-old girl who has been facing a lot of challenges ever since she came into this world. When her mother was 8 months pregnant, she was diagnosed with preeclampsia and she had to be immediately transferred to the labor room, since her and the baby’s life were in serious risk. As soon as the baby was born, she was immediately transferred to the NICU, where she was diagnosed with brain paralysis and hydrocephalus.

Crisovalanto- Vasiliki  never got to walk. To this day, she has been subjected to numerous surgical procedures, while she also has a VP shunt, which drains the excess fluid from the brain. This however hasn’t stopped her from living her life to the fullest and to participate in sports, even managing to receive distinction in the Paralympic games! 2 months ago however, Crisovalanto- Vasiliki  collapsed and she had to be hospitalized for a long period of time in the clinic where her doctors are, since there have been some complications regarding her VP shunt. Thankfully, everything went well and Crisovalanto- Vasiliki  was recently discharged.

All these years, Crisovalanto- Vasiliki ’s parents are doing everything in their power in order to provide their daughter with the best medical care possible. Today however, they have reached a dead end  and they are unable to cope with the cost of her surgical procedure and hospitalization. Today, they need our help. We cannot turn our backs on them. So let us all join forces and facilitate their struggle. Together, we can make it happen!
