According to the doctors who are treating him, Giannis must be immediately transferred to a specialized rehabilitation center, since any delay could render his condition irreversible.

Campaign Story

Giannis is an 18-year-old young man, who has been diagnosed with quadriplegia, resulting from a severe fracture to his cervical spine. Giannis’ life was turned upside down, when while diving into the sea during his summer vacation, he injured his cervical spine and lost consciousness. As soon as his friends realized what had happened, they took him out of the water and called an ambulance. Giannis was rushed to a hospital in Thessaloniki, where he was diagnosed with a fracture to the cervical spine and spinal cord injuries. Even though he has been subjected to two surgical procedures, Giannis is still unable to move his extremities or fend for himself.  

According to the doctors who are treating him, Giannis must be immediately transferred to a specialized rehabilitation center, since any delay could render his condition irreversible. Unfortunately, his health insurance won’t cover the cost of his hospitalization and his family is now in a dead end, since they are unable to cope with the monthly cost of his treatments.  

Giannis is struggling and he needs us by his side. Together, we can offer him a helping hand, so that he will be able to receive the necessary treatments and get back on his feet!
