Ioulianos was a healthy young man, whose life was just beginning. A life, which turned upside down so unexpectedly in November of 2021, when the young man began to experience intense headache and dizziness. He soon consulted a neurologist, who referred him to a diagnostic center, in order to be subjected to further tests. The results, however, were a punch to the gut: germinoma of the brain, which is a malignant neoplasm of the germinal tissue.

It’s been 3 years since the diagnosis, and even though the 23-year-old man has been subjected to numerous chemotherapy rounds, the size of the tumor has been only slightly reduced. Ioulianos is currently hospitalized in the ICU of a hospital of Athens due to a septic episode, while he was recently subjected to a tracheostomy and a gastrostomy. The young fighter’s condition is quite severe. Ioulianos has lost vision in both eyes. He is no longer able to speak, while he is presenting with severe motor problems.

According to the hospital’s medical staff, Ioulianos will have to be transferred to a rehabilitation center as soon as he is discharged from the hospital, while his doctors are also considering the surgical removal of the tumor.

Ioulianos’ family reached out to ACT OF KINDNESS, since they are unable to cope with the immense cost that is required for his hospitalization. After a thorough inquiry of our medical and social department, we managed to organize this aid campaign, in order to support this young man, who has been fighting for his life for the past three years!

Ioulianos’ life has been shattered into pieces. The young fighter has lost his vision, his speech and motor skills. However, he is not losing his strength! He is determined to fight and to win this battle!
