Michail-Aggelos is an 8-year-old boy who has been suffering ever since he came into this world. When the little guy was born, he seemed to be perfectly healthy. However, when he was a few days old, he began to experience intense tremors that wouldn’t subside. That’s when an uphill struggle began for him and his family. The first few months of his life were extremely hard. Tests, hospitalizations, however no one could give a definite diagnosis. The parents didn’t know where to turn, and after considering all their options, they decided to send a sample abroad for a DNA sequence analysis of the entire genome and a few months later, they finally got some answers. According to the results, the little guy is suffering from a mutation of a gene, which causes him to suffer from epileptic encephalopathy.

To this day, Michail-Aggelos is still unable to speak or communicate with his family. He receives anti-epileptic medication, while he is often subjected to physiotherapy, in order to strengthen his muscular groups and to prevent the possibility of muscular atrophy and joint stiffness. His mother has never left his side, while she is his sole care-giver.

According to his physiotherapist, Michail-Aggelos requires a pediatric walker, which will not only allow him to move around safely, but will also facilitate the physiotherapy process. Unfortunately, after all of these years of struggling, his family has reached a dead end, since they are no longer able to cover the cost of his treatments, or the cost of the pediatric walker he so desperately needs.

Michail-Aggelos has been struggling ever since he came into this world. Today however, he needs us by his side. We cannot turn our backs on him. Let us all join hands and offer this little fighter a better quality of life.
