Campaign Story

Paraskevas is an 8-year-old boy who is suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It all started a few months ago when his mother noticed that he presented with fatigue and paleness, and after a complete blood count, the pediatrician referred them to a university hospital of the country. There, the little boy was subjected to a series of specialized tests and a few days later he was diagnosed with leukemia. After the diagnosis, Paraskevas was immediately admitted to the oncology ward of the Children’s hospital, while in July he completed his first chemo round. Paraskevas’ treatments will last for a long period of time, always depending on his test results.  

Paraskevas’ mother has never left his side, therefore she had to quit her job in order to be with him. After all of these months, Paraskevas’ parents have come to a dead end, since they are unable to cover the cost of their monthly expenses, as well as the cost of Paraskevas’ medical and medicinal expendables that he requires on daily basis for as long he is being subjected to the cancer treatments.  

A child is fighting for his life and he needs us by his side. Let us all support this little fighter’s struggle, with just one small gesture!
