Panagiota is a 29-year-old woman, who has been struggling ever since she came into this world, since she has been diagnosed with spastic quadriplegia and brain paralysis due to her premature birth. Panagiota had to spend the first months of her life in the NICU, while she had to be subjected to numerous surgical procedures, since she was also diagnosed with dislocation of both hips when she was younger.

Today, Panagiota remains confined to a bed. She is unable to walk, while she is presenting with severe muscular atrophy and joint stiffness.  According to the doctors who monitor her condition, the young woman needs to be immediately subjected to a home-based physiotherapy and speech therapy program, which will increase her muscle strength and which will improve her chewing and swallowing ability. At the same time, her family needs to procure a specialized reclining bed and a new wheelchair, which will allow her to stay seated and which will facilitate her transfer by her care-givers.

All these years, Panagiota’s parents have been sacrificing everything in order to offer their little girl a better quality of life. Today however, they have reached a dead end and they are unable to cope with the cost of the treatments and the orthopedic equipment their child so desperately needs.

Panagiota has been fighting her own battle ever since she came into this world. Today, she needs our help. Together, we have the power to offer her a better quality of life and to free her from the muscular pain she is daily experiencing. We join forces for Panagiota!
