Campaign Story

Petros is 66 years old and he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. It all started 2 years ago ,  when he started to experience discomfort while urinating. At first, he didn’t think much of it, however as time went by, the symptoms became more and more intense. A few months ago, Petros visited his doctor and after a series of tests, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. According to the doctor who is treating him, Petros must be immediately subjected to a surgical resection of the prostate gland, while there is a good chance he will be also subjected to a surgical resection of the surrounding lymph nodes.

Petros came in contact with many public hospitals of the country, however there is a long waiting list and every day that goes by, the possibility of metastasis increases. This is why his doctor recommended that he would be immediately admitted to a private clinic, where the surgery will be performed. However, Petros’ family is unable to cope with the cost of his surgery and hospitalization, since their monthly income is barely enough for their living expenses.

Petros’ life is in danger and he needs our help. We cannot turn our backs on him! Together, we can cover the cost of the surgery and offer him a chance to fight and beat cancer!
