Campaign Story

Sofia is 45 years old and she has been experiencing health problems since childhood. When she was 21 years old, and after being subjected to a series of diagnostic tests, she was diagnosed with Crohn disease and was subjected to surgery. Afterwards, she was prescribed with strong medication that severely affected her liver and by extension other vital organs. As years went by, her condition started to deteriorate, and after further tests, she was diagnosed with toxic-metabolic encephalopathy, a disease which is linked to disorders of the gastrointestinal system and to chronic liver poisoning. Chronic candidiasis is a severe, complex disease that causes a variety of symptoms to the entire body. Sofia is suffering from food intake disorder that has led to a metabolic syndrome which if not treated immediately, could be fatal. According to the doctors who are treating her, Sofia needs to be immediately subjected to a long-term, complex treatment that consists of specialty medication, dietary supplements and a strict dietary regimen that aims at improving the function of the gut-brain axis and the central nervous system, as well as repairing the liver and the digestive system.  

If she is immediately subjected to treatments, her brain function will be gradually restored. However, she is unable to cope with the treatments costs, since due to the severity of her condition, she hasn’t been working for the past 6 years.  

Sofia has been struggling for years in silence. Today however, she needs our help in order to win this battle! If we all join forces, we will be able to offer her a chance to get back on her feet and live a normal life!
