Short Story
Spiros is 46 years old and he has been diagnosed with a severe degenerative neurological disease that affects the nervous system. Today, Spiros is confined to a bed, unable to move his extremities or fend for himself. Unfortunately, the additional expenses that have surfaced due to his condition, such as home-based physiotherapy sessions, medical and medicinal expendables, as well as professional care-givers that he requires on daily basis, have brought the family to a dead-end.
Together, we keep on supporting Spiros, the father of three, who is now bedridden due to a rare degenerative neurological disease.

Campaign Story
Spiros is 46 years old and he has been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a severe degenerative neurological disease that affects the nervous system. It all started 5 years ago, when Spiros began to experience numbness and weakness in his arms and legs. However, as time went by, his condition kept on deteriorating and after a series of diagnostic tests, he received the fatal diagnosis.
Today, Spiros is confined to a bed, unable to move his extremities or fend for himself, while he must soon be subjected to a tracheostomy, since this disease has also affected his respiratory functions. Even though fate has played a cruel game on him, Spiros is not giving up. His support system throughout this ordeal, are his loving wife and children, who have never left his side.
According to the doctors who monitor his condition, Spiros needs to be regularly subjected to physiotherapy sessions that aim to prevent muscular atrophy and permanent joint stiffness.
Unfortunately, the additional expenses that have surfaced due to his condition, such as home-based physiotherapy sessions, medical and medicinal expendables, as well as professional care-givers that he requires on daily basis, have brought the family to a dead-end.
Spiros has been fighting all these years with dignity. Today, he needs our help. Let us facilitate his struggle with just a small gesture!

Spiros’ struggle.
The disease that has been tormenting him, has deprived him of his ability to move, speak and swallow. Four years ago, he got diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The family is facing an uphill struggle.
The Organization’s goal is to support Spiros financially, since he doesn’t have the means to afford his speech therapy and physiotherapy sessions, nor the two care-givers he requires on a daily basis and most of his medication which cost is not covered by his health insurance.
When we met with Spiros, he told us that he never thought that there would be people out there who would care about his condition.
We keep on showing solidarity and compassion to every person, of every age, of every race, in every possible way!
We are together in this!
