Campaign Story

Theodora is a 31-year-old woman, who till recently had an active lifestyle, while she wasn’t experiencing any health problems whatsoever. However, a few months ago, she suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed on the floor. Her parents rushed her to the hospital, where after a series of imaging tests, she was diagnosed with brain hemorrhage due to a ruptured cerebral aneurysm. Theodora was immediately subjected to an open craniotomy, while she had to be hospitalized in the ICU for a long period of time. Till this day, she has been subjected to 8 brain surgeries, due to recurrent hematomas, while in the foreseeable future, she will be also subjected to a complete cranioplasty. When Theodora got discharged from the hospital, she was transferred to a rehabilitation center, where she remains till this day. Her condition is critical and she requires a specialized rehabilitation treatment plan, since she is unable to move, speak, or communicate with her loved ones.

All these months, Theodora’s parents have never left her side, trying their best in order to provide their daughter the best possible care. Today however, they are in a dead-end and they are unable to cope with the cost of her hospitalization, as well as the cost of her upcoming surgery.

Theodora’s life turned upside down from one minute to the next. A young woman with dreams for the future and a ravenous thirst for life, suddenly found herself confined to a bed, unable to speak or move. We cannot abandon her. Together, we can offer her the only thing she needs the most: a second chance in life!
