Campaign Story

Ioannis came into this world just 3 months ago, while he was diagnosed with a rare case of congenital cardiovascular anomalies, while still being in his mother’s womb. Right after he was born, he was transferred to a private clinic in Athens and in 14/10/22 he was subjected to an open heart surgery. According to the pediatric heart surgeons, the surgery was a success. However, the family’s anguish is far from over, since baby boy Ioannis will have to remain for quite some time in the NICU, where his condition will be closely monitored by the experienced medical staff, while he will be also receiving inotropic medications.

Due to the urgent admission to the clinic where the baby had this major heart surgery in order to survive, the family is now in a dead end, since they are unable to cover the unbearable cost of his surgery and hospitalization. His parents have never left his side, while they had no other choice but to leave behind their 5-year-old son, who is anxiously waiting to meet his baby brother.
